Drafting Design's 4th annual Pumpkin Design & Carving Project. Once again over 50 Unique Pumpkins have been designed and carved along with student sketches and templet designs using Geometry, Multi-Views and other techniques learned in Drafting Design.

Design Studio is a public high school "design/build" curriculum that sparks rural community development through real-world, creative projects. By learning through a design sensibility, applied core subjects, and "dirt-under-your-fingernails" construction skills, students develop the creative capital, critical thinking, and citizenship necessary for their own success and for the future of their communities.

Mountain/Skate Board Project

What is Drafting Design all about?
Everything that is built, manufactured, or modified is first drawn. Each design starts as an idea then progresses from simple sketches to final construction drawings. Your home, vehicles, furniture, computers, ect., even the clothes on your back were all first designed, drafted with all the technical problems worked out before they were manufactured. The field of Drafting and Design is as vast as the items made or manufactured. Someone had the need, someone designed, engineered and drew the plans before it was built.
Students that take Drafting Design learn skills needed to go onto careers such as: Architecture, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Landscape Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, Graphic Design and Inventing.
